Hyperscaler Network-as-a-Service Pivot Could Spell Trouble for Slow-Moving Telcos

Hyperscalers have already exhibited some interest in enterprise networking, but their primary focus remains on Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS). However, ABI Research believes that if these ultra-scalable, service-orientated players swivel further toward the Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) market, telcos may be in trouble, as hyperscalers are in a great position to offer valuable end-to-end enterprise cloud networking solutions.
