Although new chips were unveiled at Embedded World 2024, conversations revolved around software innovation and partnerships as vendors look to reduce developer friction to accelerate Machine Learning (ML) at scale and support their low-margin, high-volume business model. As RISC-V contributes to greater market fragmentation, chip vendors must continue to invest heavily in their software stack through a combination of Research and Development (R&D), partnerships, and acquisitions.
