IoT-NTN Module Ecosystem Expands, but Questions Remain About Release 17 Device Capabilities

u-blox announced this September its first module featuring The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP)-compliant terrestrial and Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) connectivity. u-blox is the latest module vendor to make such an announcement, following several other vendors that have released Internet of Things (IoT)-NTN modules in the past 2 years. The diverse availability of these modules signals that the IoT-NTN market is finally accelerating after years of development.
