Electric Vehicle Smart Charging Platforms
Report | 4Q 2024 | AN-5545
Get The ReportElectric Vehicles (EVs) demand a tremendous amount of power for battery charging - further straining the electrical grid. In North America, where drivers traverse longer distances, the average EV consumes 3,830 kilowatt hours (KwH) annually. Charging optimization platforms are expected to put a dent in that unsustainable consumption and that figure will drop to 3,38 kWh by 2027.
In Asia-Pacific - the largest EV market - annual energy consumption today for the average EV is 3,062 kWh. By the end of the forecast period, that number will decrease modestly to 2,669 kWh per year.
