Audio signal processing and ambient sensing are near parity in terms of shipments in 2021 and 2022, but the audio signal processing category will begin to separate itself substantially as the years move on. By 2027, 1.8 billion TinyML devices shipped are expected to be for audio signal processing and 1.2 billion shipments for ambient sensing. Always-on vision has a relatively smaller demand, with 453 million devices shipped in 2027.
